The country has been witnessing a steady decline in cases of corona infection for the last few days. As many as 1.75 lakh new cases of corona were reported in the country on Friday. This figure is the lowest number of new cases of corona in the last 46 days. As many as 1.86 lakh new cases of corona were reported in the country on Thursday.

However, the daily death toll is still above 3,000. An average of 3,000 people are dying every day for the last 32 days. On April 26, 2,766 people lost their lives. Since then, the figure has remained above 3,000.

20,740 new cases in Maharashtra

In Maharashtra, 20,740 new cases of Kovid-19 were reported on Friday, bringing the total number of transition cases in the state to 56,92,920. The death toll from the epidemic in the state has risen to 93,198 with 424 patients dying.

In West Bengal, 12,193 cases of corona virus were reported and 145 people died. At the same time, 19,396 people recovered and went home. The number of currently active cases in the state is 1,09,806.

2,521 new cases in Gujarat

In Gujarat, 2,521 new cases of corona virus were reported on Friday. At the same time, the number of infected people in the region has increased to 8,03,387. The health department reports that the infection has killed 27 more people in the region, bringing the state's death toll to 9,761.
