Civil war erupts after military coup overthrows Myanmar, 40 soldiers killed in rebel attacks

The military, which seized power by ousting Myanmar's democratic government, is now paying the price. The Myanmar army, which has been using bullets to stifle protests, is facing opposition from its own people. According to a report, 40 Myanmar Army soldiers have been killed and several others injured in clashes between local rebels and the Karenni People's Defense Force (PDF) in Kaya state.

40 soldiers killed in Kaya state

Frightened by the threat of civil war, people have also started fleeing. Insurgents affiliated with the People's Defense Force reportedly clashed with their army at Mo-bai on the Shan-Kaya state border on Sunday morning. In it, the Myanmar army opened fire on civilian homes, injuring two civilians and damaging several homes.

Rebels occupy police station

The rebels seized the Mo Bay police station after a long firefight. At least 15 Myanmar soldiers were killed and four were captured by rebels. The rebels set the police station on fire after the shooting. One member of the rebel group was killed and at least five others were injured.

People should choose to be martyred by rebellion

According to a local, Myanmar's dictatorial army has decided to fight with its own weapons after witnessing its brutality against civilians. Many local youths said they would rather revolt and be martyred than be arrested or killed on the issue of protesting.

24 soldiers killed on the highway

The clashes continued for a long time on Sunday in Demoso township of Kaya state. Meanwhile, about 24 Myanmar Army soldiers were killed on the Loikav-Demoso highway. During the clashes, locals blocked roads to stop the Myanmar army from entering the city with the help of armored vehicles.
