Chinese rover successfully lands on Mars after 10 months of travel

China, which has been swaying the US on the military front, is now making inroads in the space sector as well. Today is an important day for China.

China's Jurong rover has landed on Mars after seven months of space travel and three months of orbiting Mars. Seven minutes of landing was the most important. However, Rover also passed this tough test and made history by landing on Mars. China's National Space Administration made the official announcement today.

The space agency said the spacecraft, named Tianwen-1, was launched on July 23, 2020. Which included an orbiter, a lander and a rover Jurong. Tivanway entered Mars orbit on February 10 and has been gathering vital information since then. Its rover has since landed on Mars.

The rover that Drag landed on Mars is named Jurong. In China, the god of fire is known as Jurong. Before landing this rover, Tianwei constantly mapped Mars. Jurong is fitted with six wheels. It has landed in the northern hemisphere of Mars. According to Chinese media, the landing of a Chinese rover on Mars is a major success for China's space program. Chinese scientists have been working on the project for a long time.

The distance from Earth to Mars is 32 million kilometers. This means that the radio message that this rover will send to Earth will take 18 minutes to reach.

As far as India is concerned, India successfully launched the Mars rover into Mars orbit in 2014. While America has landed its rover on Mars.
