Bengal: A tornado wreaks havoc in Hooghly just before Yas Yas hurricane, several houses and shops destroyed, 2 killed

A tornado has wreaked havoc in Hooghly, West Bengal, before a super cyclone. Dozens of houses, shops and trees were shattered by the tornado that blew up on Tuesday evening. The entire area was without power for several hours after the incident.

A large part of Hooghly's Chuchuda city, Bandel, Balagarh, Pandua was completely covered under a black sheet of darkness. The SPA of Hooghly Rural informed that 2 people were killed at Pandua due to Thunder Storm.

In addition to the area surrounding the historic building Bendel Church, shops and buildings were destroyed in several areas of Hooghly. Several large trees collapsed and fell on the roads. The latter was immediately cut off by the local administration. Relief work has also been expedited.

According to the allegations made by the victim's family, the help given to them by the administration in this dire situation is insufficient. Hooghly residents have never experienced such a tornado before. This natural disaster blew the minds of the locals.
