According to a report by the Union Ministry of Health, there are 4,01,993 new cases of corona in the country and 3,523 people have lost their lives in just 24 hours.

A day earlier, 3,86,452 new cases of corona had been reported in the country and 3,498 people had lost their lives due to corona. The third phase of vaccination has also started in the country from today i.e. Saturday. From today, people between the ages of 18 and 45 will also be able to get the vaccine. However, unfortunately there is a severe shortage of vaccines in many large states.

Due to the vaccine shortage, many states have shown inability to start or partially join the vaccination program starting May 1. States like Maharashtra, Goa, UP, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh are in dire need of vaccines. The country's capital Delhi and Maharashtra are currently Corona's hotspots. In the last 24 hours, 27,074 new cases of corona have been reported in Delhi and 375 patients have lost their lives. The number of active patients in Delhi is currently 99,361.
