Adb lends India ર્ડ 3.92 billion in 2020

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) said on Friday that it had approved a record 3. 3.92 billion loan to India for 13 projects in 2020, including ની 1.8 billion for projects related to the prevention and control of the Kovid-19 epidemic.

The Manila-based multilateral agency said it had provided emergency assistance for social security measures to prevent the spread of the disease in India and provide relief to the poor and other vulnerable groups.

Adb has also helped the government with primary health care in urban areas. Adb said it has the largest annual loan commitment ever for India since its inception in 1986.

Takio Konishi, Adb's Country Director for India, said, "Further, Adb is ready to provide India with additional resources to meet the challenges of COVID-19, including accelerating the country's vaccination program and establishing a health system to address future risks. Includes security assistance and education and social protection.

Adb said it will continue to provide regular assistance to India for energy, transport, urban development and public sector management during 2020.
