What is the government's national plan for Kovid? SC asked the center 4 important questions

- National Plan sought on oxygen and drug supply, vaccination process, lockdown issue

New delhi date. Thursday, April 22, 2021

The Supreme Court has taken a stern stance on the growing graph of corona and the shortage of oxygen as well as medicines in hospitals. The apex court on Thursday took cognizance of the matter and sent a notice to the Center. The court questioned the Center as to whether it had any action plan to combat Kovid-19.

The Supreme Court had sought a National Plan from the Central Government on 4 important issues. The first is the supply of oxygen, the second is the supply of medicines, the third is the procedure and method of giving the vaccine and the fourth is the right of lockdown only to the state government, not to the court. The next hearing in the case is set for April 23.

The apex court said the case was in a state of 'confusion and diversion' as six different courts had taken cognizance of it. The six high courts in Delhi, Bombay, Sikkim, Kolkata, Allahabad and Odisha are hearing the Koro crisis.
