Voting in Bengal: Attack on BJP agent's car in Keshpur, glass smashed

West Bengal and Assam are going to the polls for the second phase today. There have been reports of riots and beatings in EVMs at several seats since Thursday morning between polling for 30 seats in Bengal and 39 in Assam. The Trinamool Congress and the BJP are also accusing each other of intimidating voters.

Then in West Midnapore, BJP's Tanmay Ghosh accused TMC workers of attacking his vehicle. Not only that, a BJP woman agent has also been beaten up. According to the BJP leader, his complaint was not registered when he went to the police station.

BJP and TMC workers clashed at the booth in Debra, Bengal. BJP candidate Bharti Ghosh had earlier alleged that the agent had been threatened there. The TMC later accused the BJP of distributing money.

BJP candidate Subhendu Adhikari from Nandigram reached the polling booth on Thursday morning. They took a motorcycle and reached polling booth number 76 to cast their votes. He also claimed that the people were voting on the issue of development.
