Trouble at Mamata's seat

All eyes are on the seats of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's stronghold Bhawanipur. This seat has been Mamata Banerjee's traditional seat and she has been ruling Bengal for 10 years after winning from here. However, this time Mamata Banerjee has left Bhawanipur constituency and is contesting from Nandigram. He has fielded Sovandev Chattopadhyay, one of the senior leaders of his party, from Bhawanipur. BJP has fielded Rudranil Ghosh, an actor-turned-leader.

Two stars face-to-face

This time there is an interesting confrontation between BJP and TMC in Asansol South Assembly seat of Asansol i.e. Shilpanchal in West Burdwan district. Renowned fashion designer Agnimitra Pal is trying her luck on the election field with a BJP ticket while TMC has given a ticket to actress Sayoni Ghosh. In this face-to-face battle between the two stars in this seat, the CPI (M) has made Prashant Ghosh a triangle by fielding him.
