Thieves have gone too far! Smugglers stole 1600 doses of Corona vaccine from a government hospital

In the midst of the Corona transition, there have been announcements to speed up the vaccination campaign, and on the other hand, the Corona vaccine has been targeted by smugglers.

Another incident of theft of Corona vaccine from a hospital has taken place in Haryana. As many as 1,600 doses of Corona vaccine have been stolen from a hospital store in Jind district here. This includes about 1200 covshields and about 400 doses of covacin.

The incident was reported to the hospital authorities at 9 am today. Officers were shocked to see the locks of the hospital store broken. Vaccine stock was missing from the deep fridge. However, the cash amount of Rs 50,000 deposited in the hospital is safe. The matter was eventually reported to the police.

Police are now investigating the case. Hospital authorities said the hospital currently has about 1,600 doses of the vaccine available but by Thursday afternoon, 1000-1000 doses of both vaccines will arrive.

There were also reports of no vaccine in the hospital. Which was refuted by the hospital authorities. And having said that, there is ample vaccine stock available.

Police, meanwhile, have also used a fingerprint expert to track down the thieves.
