Srinagar: Terrorist attack on BJP leader's house, police constable martyred

The house of BJP leader Anwar Khan at Naugam in Srinagar was attacked on Thursday. There are also reports of a policeman being martyred. A large convoy of police reached the BJP leader's house after the attack. Wounded constable Rameez Raja was rushed to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.


Anwar Khan is the BJP secretary in Baramulla district and has also been made in-charge of Kupwada. The terrorists fled with the rifle of the wounded policeman after the attack. Meanwhile, a search of the area has been launched by cordoning off the area.

Earlier on Monday, militants also opened fire on the municipal office at Sopar in Baramulla district. One of the injured councilors died during treatment on Tuesday. Now the terrorists have targeted one more BJP leader.
