Raxaul: Canadian woman arrested for entering India from Nepal without visa

A foreign woman has been arrested from Raxaul in Bihar, which borders India and Nepal. The immigration department has arrested the woman on a tip-off with the help of Ramgarhwa police. Passports and Nepalese visas have been seized from the arrested foreign woman.

The Raxaul Immigration Department was informed that a foreign woman was entering India through the Nepal border without a passport and visa. Following the notification, a checking operation was launched on NH-28A. Private vehicles as well as vehicles carrying passengers were also searched. During the investigation, the woman was found in a bus going from Raxaul to Motihari.

Police took the woman off the bus and took her into custody and reported her to the immigration department. It is learned that the woman's name is Robaika William and her father's name is Caristo William. The woman has a Canadian passport. During the interrogation, the woman said that she had come to Nepal on her own and had entered the Indian border due to lack of information.

The foreign woman had reached India through Pokhara, Nepal and did not have a visa to come to India. He also did not have a Corona report during the Corona epidemic so he is being prosecuted for violating Section 1946 (Section 14B) and Section 52 Disaster Management Section 2005.
