Photo of Fadnavis's nephew getting vaccinated goes viral, Congress targets BJP

- Allegation that Tanmay deleted the post after the image went viral

The Maharashtra Congress party in a tweet on Monday evening accused Devendra Fadnavis, the Leader of the Opposition in the state assembly. The Congress in a tweet shared a picture of a young man taking the corona vaccine at the National Cancer Institute in Nagpur. According to Congress leaders, the picture is of Tanmay, nephew of former Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, and Tanmay himself shared it on social media.

Tanmay is alleged to have deleted the post after a picture of him taking the vaccine went viral on social media. It is learned that Tanmay is an engineer and he took the first dose of the vaccine in Mumbai. He has since taken a second dose at Nagpur whose picture is going viral on social media.

The Congress tweeted that the Modi government has made it a condition to vaccinate only those above 45 years of age. Under these circumstances, how was the nephew of Fadnavis under 45 years of age vaccinated? The family life of the BJP leaders is important but what about the lives of the rest? Is his life nothing!

Tanmay's father Abhijeet Fadnavis refrained from making any statement on the matter. Abhijeet is the son of Shobha Fadnavis, who was an MLC and former minister in Maharashtra under the Shiv Sena presidency in the 1990s.
