Now a further 14-day lockdown in one state, effective from 9pm on Tuesday night

New Delhi, April 26, 2021

Even in Karnataka, the number of people dying from corona is on the rise.

In these circumstances, the Karnataka government has announced a 14-day lockdown in the state. The lockdown will take place from 9 pm on Tuesday and during this time only those involved in essential services will be allowed to go. However, a time has been fixed for this too. Connected people will only be able to leave from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Thus, after Delhi and Maharashtra, one more state has resorted to the option of lockdown to curb the transition to corona. In Rajasthan, similar restrictions have been imposed, while the Rupani government in Gujarat is currently refusing to implement lockdown.

In a recent nationwide address, PM Modi also refused to impose lockdown across the country, saying that lockdown should be seen by state governments as a last resort.
