Maharashtra, which is most affected by the corona, has imposed a strict ban on corona curfew from today. Hospitals, on the other hand, are also affected by the lack of oxygen for patients in the state.

Now Chhattisgarh and Gujarat are to help Korona-hit Maharashtra. According to the details received, 200 metric tonnes of oxygen will be supplied to Maharashtra from these two states. The Bhilai plant in Chhattisgarh will supply 100 metric tonnes of oxygen to Vidarbha in Maharashtra while 100 metric tonnes of oxygen will be supplied to Maharashtra from Jamnagar in Gujarat.

The government estimates that the state will need 1,500 metric tons of oxygen a week. The state currently has 1200 metric tons of oxygen available daily. Of which 960 tons are used for corona patients.

According to an English newspaper report, the central government has instructed the steel plants and oil refinery industry to come forward to provide oxygen supply.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray also expressed grave concern over the shortage of oxygen and appealed to the Center to provide oxygen to Maharashtra.
