In Maharashtra, a lockdown has been imposed to curb the uncontrolled transition of corona.

In a small village in Maharashtra's Yavatmal district, some people drank sanitizer instead of alcohol, killing six people and leaving some in critical condition. An inquiry has also been ordered into the matter.

People were admitted to the district hospital when their health started deteriorating after taking sanitizer. Six people died during treatment at the hospital. However, three of them were declared dead when they were brought to the hospital.

In Maharashtra, there has been a recent case of health workers mistakenly giving sanitizers to children instead of polio doses.
