Lockdown in the state on Sunday, a fine of Rs 1,000 on those who do not wear masks

The Yogi government has taken an important decision in view of the rising number of corona cases in Uttar Pradesh, now all districts of the state will have weekly lockdowns on Sundays, and those who do not wear masks will be fined Rs 1,000, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered. All markets and offices will be closed, excluding essential services, he said, adding that a comprehensive sanitation campaign will be launched in all markets on this day.

At a virtual meeting of the Kovid control team in Lucknow, the CMA said that the state government was committed to protecting the lives and livelihoods of all citizens, for which the list of people eligible for alimony would be updated and the government would provide rations and food rations to all those in need.

Masks have been made mandatory for all in the state, those caught without masks will be fined Rs 1,000 and if caught a second time, they will be fined ten times.
