Launch of Haridwar Mahakumbh Mela amidst Corona crisis, keep this in mind before leaving

Mahakumbh 2021 has been launched in Haridwar from Thursday. During the Mahakumbh, which runs till April 30, devotees will have to submit an RTPCR negative report for Kovid-19 up to 72 hours before the Ganga bath.

Devotees will not get the benefit of Ganga bath without submitting a covid negative report. The Kumbh Mela has been organized amid tight security and the government has urged devotees to abide by Corona's guidelines.

A large number of devotees from home and abroad come for bathing in the Ganges, which is why the administration has deployed police personnel at various places. Online registration is mandatory for admission in Haridwar. In addition, the health bridge app has also been made mandatory in the phones of devotees. Following the corona, the Uttarakhand High Court has directed the state government to test 50,000 corona daily in the Kumbh Utsav area.

Devotees have to follow the government’s guideline to enter the fair. In addition, covid protocols including masks, social distance, sanitization have to be followed. According to the guideline, people above 60 years of age should not be allowed to enter Aquarius. Random checking will be done at all the borders of the state and also at railway stations, airports and border check posts.
