Jammu and Kashmir: A young man who crossed the border by mistake and reached PoK was returned to Pakistan

Mohammad Syed, 18, of Gurez area in Bandipora district of north Kashmir, crossed the LOC by mistake in September last year and reached POK. Then with the hard work of the police officers and the army, the Pakistan Rangers on Tuesday sent the youth back through the bridge at Titwal crossing point in Karnah in Tangdhar sector of Kupwara.

The youth was handed over to Indian Army and district administration officials at noon, an official said. He was also given sweets at the time. According to locals, the tightening of the LOC has led to a sharp decline in such incidents.

Locals also said parents should take care of their children. Similarly, a young man who had crossed the border by mistake was handed over to the Pakistan Army by the Indian Army a few days ago.
