Egypt seizes ship stranded in Suez Canal, demands 900 million in compensation

The recent sinking of the giant container ship Evergiven in the Suez Canal caused a traffic jam on both sides of the Suez Canal.

The ship became the talk of the town. Because it was affecting the supply worldwide. The ship was derailed but has not yet been rescued. This is because the officials operating the canal have confiscated it and demanded વળ 900 million in compensation from the company.

Officials say the action has been taken following a court order. The ship will be released only after compensation is paid.

In the incident that took place in the month of March, the ship named Evergivan got stuck in the canal and was able to go straight again after 6 days. As a result, thousands of ships were stranded on both sides. It cost millions of dollars in global trade.
