DMK-Congress also bans anti-Tamil culture, Jalikattu: PM Modi's campaign in Tamil Nadu

Chennai, Ta. 2. April, 2021 Friday

Addressing an election rally in Madurai, Tamil Nadu today, PM Modi slammed the DMK as well as the Congress.

"The whole country is proud of the culture of South Tamil Nadu. The DMK and the Congress have no agenda. The voters are not fools. The DMK and the Congress consider themselves the guardians of Tamil culture but the reality is different. It was the UPA government that banned Jalikattu in Tamil Nadu .

"In 2016, the Congress in its election manifesto also talked of banning Jalikattu. However, our government respected the Tamil culture and allowed Jalikattu to continue. The Congress and the DMK have an art of lying," he said. Had influenced and also given the country a number of great men.

"Decades ago, hundreds of people came here from Saurashtra in Gujarat. The people of Madurai welcomed him warmly and gave him a place here. Madurai is a symbol of unity and excellence of India. The people of Madurai have always supported MG Ramachandraman. In Tamil Nadu, the NDA government is working to increase facilities and increase investment. Efforts are being made to promote tourism here. 1.6 million people in Tamil Nadu have got water connections. Our government is making efforts to supply water to every household. Will come.
