By the end of April, there will be 12 lakh active cases of corona in Maharashtra: Uddhav Thackeray

The situation in Maharashtra has become worrisome due to corona, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray said, adding that there could be 12 lakh active cases by the end of April, the state currently has 5.64 lakh active cases, which is about 88 per cent more than last September.

He said that there were 10.5 lakh active cases across the country during September 2020. Given the current situation, it is estimated that there could be 11.9 lakh cases in Maharashtra alone till April 30, with about 59,000 new cases of transition in Maharashtra.

Seeing the second wave of transition, the chief minister has imposed a strict ban for a period of 15 days, also being called a mini lockdown.
