The Covid-19 transition, which has been raging around the world, has put pressure on British Prime Minister Boris Johnson to cancel his India tour. Britain's opposition Labor Party also demanded that Boris Johnson cancel his trip. At the same time, the Labor Party questioned why Boris Johnson did not discuss bilateral relations with Prime Minister Narendra Modi online.

This is the second time Boris Johnson's India tour has been canceled. Earlier, his visit to India was also postponed on January 26. It was the British PM's first major foreign trip since Britain's general election in 2019 and has now been postponed.
