82 dead in last 24 hours in Israeli bombardment: Total death toll so far 32,070

- 74,298 have been injured in the five-month war

- A cease-fire proposal was presented in the United Nations Security Committee, both China and Russia blew it using 'veto' power

United Nations: There is no end in sight to the Israel-Hamas war that has been going on for the past five months. 82 people have died in the last 24 hours in the Israeli bombing. With this, the number of deaths reported so far has reached 32070. The number of injured has reached 74,298. But there is fear of increase in these figures too.

A cease-fire was proposed at the United Nations Security Council to stop the genocide in Gaza. But China and Russia blew it by using their 'veto-power'.

After this proposal presented by the US failed, now it has become difficult to establish peace in Gaza.

In the 15-member safety committee, 11 members voted in favor of it. Three voted against, while one member abstained.

Before the vote, Russia's ambassador to the UN, Vassily Nobenzia, said that 'Russia wants an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, but we have objections to the language of the proposal.'

Not only this but they accused US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and US Ambassador to UN Linda-Thomas-Greenfield of misleading the international community for political reasons. Earlier, Greenfield said he hoped the newly drafted ceasefire proposal would pass the Security Committee on Friday. But that could not happen.
