Bihar Chief Secretary Arun Kumar Singh dies due to corona

- Former Additional Secretary of Health Ravi Shankar Chaudhary died due to corona

Bihar Chief Secretary Arun Kumar Singh has passed away. They were infected with corona and were undergoing treatment. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar expressed grief over his death. Earlier, Additional Secretary of the Health Department Ravi Shankar Chaudhary died due to corona.

Arun Kumar Singh, a 1985 batch IAS officer, was Bihar's development officer before becoming chief secretary. This year alone he was appointed chief secretary. His corona report was reportedly positive on April 15. He was later admitted to a private hospital in Patna where he breathed his last on Friday.

During the cabinet meeting, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and members of the cabinet expressed grief over the news of Chief Secretary Arun Kumar Singh's death. So far, several officials in Bihar have lost their lives due to corona.
