Behind-the-scenes talks, India held a secret meeting with Pakistan in Dubai

Tensions remain high between India and Pakistan. There are no trade relations between the two countries and negotiations have been blocked.

Amid such circumstances, reports of a meeting between Indian and Pakistani intelligence officials in Dubai in January have caused a stir. The Indian government is silent on the issue and Pakistan is not ready to make any statement.

That being said, behind-the-scenes diplomacy between the two countries has been underway for the past two and a half months. So that stress can be reduced. According to the report, a meeting was held in Dubai between India's spy agency Ro and Pakistan's spy agency ISI as part of an exercise to normalize relations between the two countries. The UAE also assisted in organizing the meeting.

However, neither country has yet made a statement on the matter. However, a Pakistani defense expert said that intelligence officials from both the countries had been searching for a missing person on third country soil for several months. As far as I know, such high level meetings have been held in Thailand, Dubai and London. I believe such meetings have taken place in the past as well. However, India and Pakistan have not spoken publicly about it.
