The transition to corona has created a dire situation in the country. Union Minister Mansukh Mandvia said the government was working to increase production and reduce the cost of remedivir injections amid a shortage of remedivir injections for the treatment of corona.
He claimed that the production of 1.5 lakh remedivir injections has started in the country every day. Mandavia, the Union Minister for Chemicals, said that in the next 15 days, 3 lakh units of remedicivir will be produced daily.
In addition to the 20 plants currently producing these injections, another 20 plants have also been approved. Talks have been held with all the companies to reduce the cost and since then the companies have reduced the price of this injection from Rs 5,000 to Rs 3,500 or less.
"Companies have reduced prices following the government's appeal and I am grateful to the pharmaceutical companies," Mandvia said on Twitter.
