As the number of migrant workers increases, the Railways has announced to run 13 new trains

New Delhi, April 15, 2021, Thursday

Amid fears of a lockdown, migrant workers from Gujarat, Maharashtra and other states have started returning home.

The trains that are currently running are also falling short because of it. People are traveling without reservations and these trains are so crowded that ticket checkers have even stopped checking. Railways has now decided to run another 13 trains as trains are running low.

These trains will run between Gujarat, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad and other cities in UP. The timetable of new trains has also been announced by the railways.

So far, states other than Mumbai have not imposed strict bans, but the bitter experience of last year's lockdown has left workers in other states in a state of panic and have started migrating before the lockdown takes effect this year. Due to which the number of passengers traveling in trains has started increasing.
