Also black market of hospital beds: Price up to Rs. 60,000 per day depending on the condition of the patient

Lucknow, Ta. 22 April 2021, Thursday

Amidst the roaring corona transition in UP, the black market for patient beds in hospitals has begun, putting humanity at a disadvantage.

On the one hand there is a shortage of medicine, on the other hand there is no oxygen and now a hospital bed is being bid for thousands of rupees for admission. According to a newspaper report, hospitals in Agra are charging beds based on the condition of patients.

Beds in small hospitals are priced at Rs 30,000 and in large hospitals at Rs 60,000. This is the daily price. In which the cost of medicines is charged separately. The system has been shaken since the report.

Prices are determined after the patient arrives at major hospitals. The price is given in writing on the lots and a charge of up to Rs. 60,000 per bed is being levied. If a patient is willing to pay more, the already admitted patient is discharged on whatever pretext.

Amid the growing transition in UP, the phenomenon of hospital profiteering is shocking. Because more than 30,000 new corona patients are coming up every day in the country’s largest state.
