6.4 magnitude quake shakes several buildings in northeastern Assam, including Assam

The epicenter was reported below the epicenter in Guwahati, Assam. The epicenter was reported at Sonitpur in Assam at 7.51 am with a magnitude of 6.4. The tremors were felt for several minutes so people rushed out of the house.

The quake affected North Bengal, including Assam. There were power outages in several places in Guwahati. At 7:51 a.m., the first tremor was felt, followed by two more. The quake has caused cracks in many houses in Assam.

Pictures of the damage caused by the quake are going viral on social media. Guwahati city has suffered the most damage. In many places the walls have collapsed and the windows are broken. Cracks have appeared in buildings in many parts of Assam. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.

The Chief Minister of Assam had worked through Twitter to make Mars the most skilled and instructed the people to be vigilant.
