Misunderstood people attack central party convoy and shoot: Political allegations on violence issue

Leaders banned from entering Bihar for 72 hours: Election Commission

Kolkata: P. Voting for the fourth phase of Assembly elections in Bengal has been completed. However, as in the past, there were several incidents of violence in the states.

The case has become more contentious in the state as four people have been killed in CISF firing. Mamata has also sparked a fierce agitation against the firing and the Center. A total of five people were killed during the fourth round of voting.

In Bengal, 76.16 per cent polling was held in 44 seats in the fourth phase. The incident took place in Sitakluchi assembly constituency in Cooch Behar. At the same time, five candidates have been attacked in which they have been injured.

In Cooch Behar, there were reports of Jawans being attacked by Sruthanikos, following which the Jawans opened fire. Sruthanik police claim that there were attempts by Sruthaniko to snatch the rifles of the jawans.

On the other hand, there is a lot of anger among the Sruthanikos who have been killed in the firing. Condemning this incident. Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said Amit Shah should resign immediately. Central forces come under the Home Ministry so Amit Shah is also directly responsible for the incident.

The Election Commission says the shooting was carried out in self-defense which is an extremely shameful statement. This is a lie, the central forces have fired on civilians who were standing in lines for voting. Mamata also called on TMC activists to hold statewide protests against the shooting.

The TMC has also hinted at agitation in various cities in the coming days. Mamata has also handed over the investigation of the incident to the CID. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on the other hand, expressed sorrow over the killing of four people in a firing incident in Cooch Behar and paid tributes to those killed.

He also alleged that violence was being perpetrated by TMC activists in Bengal. Addressing rallies in Siliguri and Krishnanagar here, Modi said the Election Commission should take immediate action against those involved in the violence.

Mamata Banerjee had a few days back questioned the military forces and claimed that the central troops deployed in Bengal were working for the BJP. Following which, the Election Commission sent a notice to Mamata. Responding to the notice, Mamata defended herself, saying there was nothing wrong with what I said. My statement does not violate the Code of Conduct anywhere.
