14.19 crore vaccine doses have been administered in the country so far: Ministry of Health

Amid the second wave of uncontrolled corona in the country, the health ministry said 14.19 crore doses of the vaccine have been given so far, adding that there are more than one lakh more active cases states in the country at present. Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Tamil Nadu.

"We need to reduce the number of new cases of corona, and use the hospital's resources properly. Proper rational and equitable use of oxygen is essential," said Randeep Guleria, director of the AIIMS.

"India is also ordering tankers from abroad to meet the oxygen shortage. Transportation of these tankers is the biggest challenge. We are monitoring the oxygen tankers," the Additional Home Ministry secretary said.
