Why insist on elections only from EVM, not from ballot papers? Congress raises questions again

New delhi date. Sunday 21 March 2021

Congress is once again raising questions on EVM as assembly elections are going to be held in five states of the country. In a TV program, Congress leader and former CM of Madhya Pradesh Kamal Nath said, "What is the point of EVM ... I want to ask the people of the country why BJP insists on holding elections from EVM itself?" What kind of scent comes from EVM ... If you want to win the election, win the election with ballot paper. BJP is robbing the votes of the people and not the votes of the Congress.

Kamal Nath further said that the BJP had tampered with EVMs in certain seats to protect itself in the Lok Sabha elections. The same happened in Rajasthan. The Congress will campaign for the elections from the ballot paper. Talks are underway with other parties for this.

He said that today there is no EVM in America. There is no EVM in the whole of Europe and even in Japan.

It is true that EVM was started during the Congress rule. But at that time technology was not developed to this extent. A number of people came to me and offered that we can hack EVM but I said, I don't want to get into this kind of headache. "The BJP has formed a government in Madhya Pradesh by bargaining. I have not compromised with my principles," Kamal Nath said.
