Trinamool Congress president Mamata Banerjee suffered a leg injury on March 10 and has been campaigning in a wheelchair ever since. But before the end of the campaign in Nandigram on Tuesday, they were standing on their own two feet and singing the national anthem.

Shortly before the end of the election campaign, Mamata Banerjee sang the national anthem at her last rally at Nandigram. With that, the second phase of the election campaign in the region came to an end and polling will take place on April 1.

During the meeting, Mamata Banerjee gestured to her trusted aides Subrata Bakshi and Dola Sen to come to her side and with their help, the West Bengal Chief Minister rose to his feet.

He seemed uncomfortable but was held back by two TMC leaders. With their help they were standing on the stage and accompanying others in singing the national anthem.

After the national anthem was over, he was again confined to a wheelchair and was later taken off the stage by security guards.
