Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has tendered his resignation to the Governor

Amid ongoing political turmoil in Uttarakhand, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat today resigned from the post. This afternoon, Governor Baby Rani met with Morya and tendered his resignation. Now Uttarakhand will get a new Chief Minister. The name of the new chief minister will be announced on Wednesday.

Trinendra Singh Rawat has had to resign due to resentment among MLAs and some ministers in the BJP. The sword was hanging over Trivendra Singh's chief ministership after these leaders expressed their displeasure. Since then, the central leadership has been mulling over the matter. Since then, there has been speculation that Trivendra Singh Rawat may step down as chief minister.
