The construction work of the magnificent Ram temple has started in Ayodhya and mother Sita will also be given a special place in the Ramlalla temple. Along with this spirit, Elijah stones from Ashoka Vatika in Sri Lanka will also be used in the construction of the temple. Sita Elijah is the place where Ravana imprisoned mother Sita. The stones have been handed over to Sri Lankan Ambassador to India Milinda Maragoda and will now be brought to India.

One of the stones of Sita Eliya in Sri Lanka will be used at the proper site of construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya. It is believed that Dashanan Ravana held Goddess Sita hostage for 11 months in a picturesque garden in his capital and that place is Sita Elijah. Ambassador Milinda Moragoda from the Sri Lankan High Court will bring a stone of Sita Eliya, situated on a beautiful mountain among 3 mountains, to India.

It is believed that Mother Sita was kept in a garden laden with Ashoka trees. There is also a snake-shaped cave and a nearby spring called Sita Eliya Vatika. At present there is a beautiful temple of Shriram Janaki at that place which is known as Sita Amman Kovil.
