- General Bajwa has more credibility than Imran Khan

Although Pakistan's army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa is pursuing a path of dialogue with India, the elimination of the terrorist network from his country will be the litmus test of his seriousness.

India has once again made its position clear in the ongoing dialogue between the National Security Adviser (NSA) and the back channel at various levels.

India has made it clear that the initiative to negotiate the elimination of terrorist masterminds like Hafiz Saeed and Masood Azhar is a serious step that only deception will prove. According to a senior official associated with the back channel, as far as the current India-Pakistan dialogue is concerned, General Bajwa's credibility is considered higher than Imran Khan's.

However, it is unfortunate that a democratic country has to rely on the military leadership of another country instead of its elected government. If General Bajwa is really serious about his long-term relationship with India, he must take the bold step of dismantling his terrorist network there.
