Speculation of Sharad Pawar's alliance with BJP

Speculation is rife in Maharashtra that political equations will change. The possibility of a NCP-BJP alliance is also being mooted.

BJP leader and former Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis held a press conference and slammed the Shiv Sena-Congress. Criticized Uddhav Thackeray's government but refrained from criticizing the NCP.

The BJP has also planned to form new equations in Maharashtra on the lines of Madhya Pradesh. BJP leaders are waiting for NCP chief Sharad Pawar's green light.

Reports, citing sources close to the BJP, claimed that talks were underway between the NCP and the BJP. The announcement was not made because certain conditions were not being agreed in the negotiations. Given the NCP's political record, it is only natural to speculate.
