PM Modi mentions Jesus Christ in Kerala election rally

Thiruvananthapuram, Ta. 30. Tuesday, March, 2021

PM Narendra Modi today addressed the first election rally in the Kerala Assembly election campaign.

Referring to the recent gold smuggling scandal in Kerala and the involvement of the Kerala CM's office in it, he said that just as Judas betrayed Jesus Christ for a few silver coins, the LDF government of Kerala betrayed the people of Kerala for a piece of gold.

Recalling the agitation for admission of women in the Sabarimala temple, PM Modi said that the Left government had rained batons on devotees during the protests in the state. They should be ashamed of the act. Meanwhile, UDF leaders as the opposition remained silent instead of protesting. But I want to say that BJP will not remain silent if anyone plays with culture. I am proud to be associated with a party that protects culture and will do so.

Accusing the LDF and the main opposition alliance UDF in Kerala of match-fixing, Modi said, "The names of the two fronts are different but their work is the same. I am excited to address the first meeting in the state today." In Kerala politics, there has been a friendly settlement between the UDF and the LDF. Now the voters of the state are asking, what kind of match-fixing is this ... Five years one party and another party rob the people for another five years. Kerala youth are openly asking this today. In both regimes, people's money has been looted.

Earlier, the state was ruled by the UDF and during the solar panel scam, he said, the UDF had not even let go of sunlight.
