Pfizer, Biotech launches corona vaccine trial on children

Corona virus has re-emerged in the world, including in India. At the same time, the vaccination campaign is in full swing. The American vaccine manufacturer Pfizer Inc. and Biotech SE have started trials of the vaccine in children under 12 years of age.

It is assumed that the age for vaccination will be extended by 2022. According to Pfizer spokeswoman Sharon Castillo, the volunteer was vaccinated earlier in the day in the early stages of the vaccination. Moderna has previously launched a vaccine trial on children in the United States called KidCOVE. Under the campaign, 6,750 children between the ages of 6 months and 11 years have been registered for trial in the United States and Canada.

The Serum Institute in India is also preparing to introduce vaccines for children. The vaccine will be given to babies within one month of their birth. In the future, the company will also develop the vaccine as a medicine to be given to children infected with corona.
