LPG cylinder price increased by Rs 25 to Rs. 819

Amid skyrocketing prices of petrol and diesel, state-owned oil companies have once again hiked domestic LPG cylinder prices. Due to this increase, the price of a 14.2 kg LPG cylinder has gone up from Rs 794 to Rs 819. These new prices have come into effect from today.

It may be mentioned that the price of LPG cylinder has been increased for the fourth time in the last one month. The price of non-subsidized cylinder was hiked by Rs 25 today.

On December 1, the price of a gas cylinder rose from Rs 594 to Rs 644. Then on January 1, it was raised again by Rs 50 and the price of a cylinder went up to Rs 694.

The price of a gas cylinder had gone up to Rs 719 after the February 4 hike. On February 15, the price had gone up to Rs 769. It had risen by Rs 25 to Rs 794 on February 25.

Since the beginning of February, the price of a 14.2 kg LPG cylinder has gone up by a whopping Rs 125. While it has been increased by Rs 175 since December.

At the same time, the price of jet fuel used in aircraft has been increased by 6.5 per cent. The price of a kiloliter of jet fuel has gone up by Rs 3,663 to Rs 59,400, state-owned oil marketing companies said in a statement. This is the third increase in jet fuel prices since February. However, for the second day in a row, petrol and diesel prices remained unchanged.
