Joe Byrd invited 40 celebrities, including PM Modi, to discuss the environment issue

US President Joe Biden has convened a summit on environmental issues to which the presidents of 40 countries have been invited. The list includes presidents of all other countries, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The summit, to be held on April 22 and 23, will discuss climate change and the drastic steps to be taken for it.

The summit will be held through virtual media and will be broadcast live to the public. This will be an important step towards the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26) to be held in Glasgow in November, according to a statement from the White House. In addition to Prime Minister Modi, Chinese President Xi Jinping, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga, Brazilian President Jair Bolsenaro, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Saudi Arabia's King Salman bin Abdulaziz Have been invited.

Apart from these leaders, Prime Minister of Bengal Sheikh Hasina and Prime Minister of Bhutan Lotte Shering have also been invited from South Asia to attend the summit. Joe Biden urged leaders in his invitation to use the summit to contribute to his country's strong climate ambitions. Biden also invited presidents of other countries who are demonstrating strong climate leadership.

The two-day summit will discuss opportunities to strengthen the ability to protect lives and livelihoods from the effects of climate change.
