Jan Aushadhi Seva Yojana is also becoming a means of providing employment: Narendra Modi

Jan Aushadhi Day is being celebrated all over the country. On this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to the beneficiaries of Jan Aushadhi through video conferencing. The Modi government is trying to make cheap medicines available to the people. For which the government has encouraged people to open Jan Aushadhi Kendras in various parts of the country.

On Jan Aushadhi Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, "Today I had the opportunity to talk to some of the beneficiaries who are running the Jan Aushadhi Yojana in every corner of the country. The scheme is particularly beneficial to the poor and especially middle class families. Cheap medicine is reaching the poor. '

He further said that along with cheap medicines at Jan Aushadhi Kendras, the youth are also getting employment. Our sisters and daughters are getting sanitary pads for only Rs. So that is having a positive effect on their health. So far 110 million sanitary pads have been sold from these centers. Jan Aushadhi Seva Yojana is also becoming a means of providing employment.

There are more than 1000 Jan Aushadhi Kendras run by women. This means that the scheme also strengthens the self-reliance of the daughters. The scheme has brought cheap medicines to the people living in the hilly areas of the Northeast. The 7500th center connected to the scheme has been inaugurated today, opening in Shillong. 6 years ago there were not even 100 centers in the country whereas today the number is 7500.
