Jammu and Kashmir: Order to hoist national flag at all government offices in 15 days

Srinagar, Ta. 29. Monday, March, 2021

In Jammu and Kashmir, the administration has ordered all government offices to fly the tricolor. The order will be implemented in the next 15 days.

As per the directions of the government, the district collector of Anantnag district has also sent a circular to hoist the national flag on all government buildings and offices in the district. As per the instructions, the heads of the government departments have been directed to abide by it.

Jammu and Kashmir Vice-Governor Manoj Sinha recently held a meeting with all the district collectors and police chiefs of the state, in which he instructed all 20 district collectors as well as the police chief to ensure that the national flag is hoisted on government buildings.

This was earlier the flag of Jammu and Kashmir. The red flag was called the state's own flag but after the repeal of Article 370, only the flag of India can now be flown in Jammu and Kashmir.
