Amid strained relations between Israel and Iran, a missile attack has hit an Israeli cargo ship in the Arabian Sea. An Israeli security official claimed that the attack was carried out by Iran.

According to a report, the ship was coming to India from Tanzania. The ship was not particularly damaged by the attack and could continue its voyage. XT Management at Port City Haifa owns the ship. However, Israeli government officials have not yet commented on the attack.

The ship was moving very slowly after the attack but 3 hours later the ship regained its normal speed. One such Israeli ship was attacked in the Gulf of Oman a month ago. On the night of February 25, the Israeli prime minister blamed Iran for the attack on the MV Helios Ray. However, Iran has denied the allegations.

Relations between Iran and Israel have been strained for some time. Earlier, Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gents said Israel would attack its nuclear facilities if Iran continued to work on its plan to build nuclear weapons. He also said that his country has the strength to attack Iran without the help of any of its allies.

In response, Iranian Defense Minister Amir Hatami said that if Israel considered attacking, it would destroy major cities such as Tel Aviv. He further added that Iran has the resources to defend its country.
