In Mandsaur, Madhya Pradesh, a statue of Mahatma Gandhi was smashed by unknown people

A statue of Mahatma Gandhi has been damaged in Gujarbardia village in Mandsaur district of Madhya Pradesh. Unidentified men smashed a statue of Mahatma Gandhi in the grounds of a government school on Tuesday night.

ASP Amit Verma informed that the life-size statue of Gandhiji in the grounds of the Government Higher Secondary School in Gujarbardia village had been demolished by anti-social elements.

The inspector of Afzalpur police station, in charge of the school principal, had earlier informed that the hand of the statue had been damaged and had been repaired by the school.

In this case, the police have registered an offense under appropriate sections and have started investigation into the case.
