Impact of Assembly elections in five states, presence of only one MP in Parliament Question Hour

The election campaign for the Assembly elections in five states is in full swing and the parties have fielded most of the MPs.

The effect of which is being seen on the budget session of the Lok Sabha. The Lok Sabha was in the second phase of the budget session. Only one MP was present in the entire hall during the Lok Sabha Question Hour.

A total of seven questions were asked during Question Hour but the MPs who asked the questions were missing. Only Kerala MP Muralitharan was a thousand and this time he has been nominated by the Congress for the Assembly.

Only 20 per cent of the MPs have reached the Parliament since the commencement of the proceedings in the budget session and in the meantime there was silence in the Parliament House. Three people and one MP were spotted on the treasury bench.

Most of the Union ministers are currently campaigning in West Bengal and the BJP has even given tickets to a number of MPs to contest elections in Bengal.
