While during the lockdown last year, people saved 79 megawatts of electricity by turning off unnecessary lights and electrical appliances in their homes and workplaces.

Notably, the last Saturday of March is celebrated as Earth Hour every year. In it, people in more than 180 countries around the world save energy by turning off the lights in their homes between 8:30 and 9:30 p.m.
