Amidst the vaccination campaign, the state will run out of stock of vaccines by tomorrow.

Jaipur, Ta. 09 March 2021, Tuesday

Rajasthan, the country's largest state, is preparing to run out of vaccines amid a nationwide vaccination drive. The state government of Rajasthan told the Center that if they do not supply more corona vaccines soon, the state will run out of corona vaccine by tomorrow.

The state has asked the Center to send the vaccine. The system in the state slowed down the vaccination drive a bit on Tuesday and today only those who are to be given a second dose of the vaccine have been vaccinated.

However, sources in the Union Health Ministry have denied that there is a shortage of vaccines in Rajasthan. About 2.5 lakh people are being vaccinated every day in Rajasthan. State Health Minister Dr Raghu Sharma has sent SOS to the Center and said the state now has only 5.85 lakh doses increased. It should have buffer stock.

"If the vaccine does not arrive on time, we will have the vaccine for the next three days," he told a TV channel. We said the way the drive is going. Accordingly, we will need 6 million vaccines for the month of March alone. If the vaccine is not available, it will have to be stopped in the middle of the vaccination campaign. How do we run a campaign if we don't have stock?

Rajasthan currently has 67 lakh beneficiaries of Covidshield and Covacin. Since the vaccination started in January, 29.9 lakh doses have been given so far. Out of this, 2.15 lakh doses have been given to the army by the state government. But now the second phase of vaccination has begun. The level is bigger and the speed is higher than before.
