Airbags are mandatory in all new cars in India after April 1

New Delhi, March 7, 2021

The death toll in road accidents in India is very high. With this in mind, the Government of India has now taken an important decision.

The Ministry of Roads and Transport of the Government of India has made airbags mandatory in all new cars manufactured after April 1, 2021. Thus, any new cars manufactured after April 1 will be mandatory for car companies to have airbags for the driver and side seat.

However, the government has not implemented the rule by giving relief for new cars that have already been built and are not yet sold. However, companies have ordered to install airbags in such cars for the next two seats by August 31.

A notification has also been issued after the law ministry gave the green light to the new rule.

In the event of an accident, the airbag opens depending on the speed of the car. The car's accelerometer circuit is activated after the car collides with any object and it sends the current to the sensor. Comes out.
